Two Japanese Animal Netsuke

A lot of two Japanese katabori netsuke, likely Meiji period (1868-1912). The first is a recumbent beast, possibly a baku or ox, with a rope harness and stained details. The second is a stylized bird with its head turned back over its carved feathers, bearing a signature to the underside.
