Two Japanese Carved Netsuke, Meiji Period Style

A lot of two carved Japanese netsuke, likely from the Meiji period (1868-1912). One figure depicts a seated noblewoman in ornate robes with polychrome details, seated on a decorative base; this piece is signed on the underside. The second figure portrays a man holding a soroban, or abacus.
