A Japanese two-piece set, likely from the Meiji or Taisho period, circa late 19th to early 20th century. The lot includes a netsuke carved from bone or a similar material, depicting what appears to be a dog and pup, with two himotoshi holes. The accompanying sagemono is a carved bamboo container in the form of a large cicada resting on a segment of stalk, with a signed underside.

Japanese Netsuke Sagemono Meiji Taisho Cicada Inro Carving Signed Bone Bamboo

Dust Factory Auctions offers antique and vintage items that proudly display the natural signs of their age and previous use.
