A pair of Canadian silver 50-cent pieces, also known as half dollars, struck in .800 fineness silver. The obverse of each coin features the laureate portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the circumscription ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. The reverse displays the Canadian Coat of Arms, featuring a central shield supported by a lion and a unicorn, a crown above, and a ribbon bearing the motto A MARI USQUE AD MARE. The reverse also includes the denomination 50 CENTS and the country name CANADA. Both coins are struck with reeded edges. KM 56. Condition: The 1962 specimen shows light circulation wear and minor surface contact marks consistent with a high-grade circulated state. The 1960 specimen exhibits prominent iridescent rainbow toning across the obverse and yellowish-amber toning on the reverse, with minimal evidence of wear. Both coins appear to be free from harsh cleaning or significant edge damage.
