A pair of Canada silver 50 cent coins comprising one specimen dated 1953 and one specimen dated 1964. These coins are struck in 80% silver with a fineness of 0.800. The obverse of each coin features the laureate portrait of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Mary Gillick, with the Latin inscription ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. The 1953 specimen displays the 1921 version of the Canadian Coat of Arms on the reverse. The 1964 specimen features the modified 1957 version of the arms. Both coins include the inscriptions CANADA, 50 CENTS, and their respective dates. The coins have reeded edges. Condition: Both coins are in circulated condition, exhibiting wear to the high points and various surface contact marks. The 1953 coin shows a patch of dark green verdigris on the rim. The 1964 coin displays light golden-brown toning.
