A collection of natural marine specimens and nautical-themed decorative items. The lot features an assortment of coral fragments and seashells contained within a clear plastic bag, including brain coral and branch coral specimens. Notable individual shells include three cowrie shells with etched decorations: one depicting a coastal landscape with a boat and palm trees, one featuring a dolphin and the text HUATULCO, and one intricately engraved with the full text of the Lord's Prayer concluding with Amen. The collection also contains a spiral-cut shell, a murex shell mounted on a base adorned with small multicolored stones, and a conical shell-form coin bank with horizontal banding. Decorative objects include a mother-of-pearl shell-form purse with a brass-toned metal frame and chain clasp, a glass dome paperweight with a painted landscape, a small white porcelain figurine of a seated child, a river stone painted with a yellow fish among seagrass, and two glass vessels containing sand and miniature shell displays. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Lord's Prayer etched shell: approx. W 3 in Mother-of-pearl purse: approx. W 4 in Spiral-cut shell: approx. L 4.5 in Overall display width: approx. 13 in. Condition: The items are in good overall condition with wear consistent with age and material. Natural specimens exhibit inherent surface irregularities and minor edge losses. The mother-of-pearl purse shows minor tarnish to the metal frame. Surface wear and minor scuffing are visible on the painted stone and the glass paperweight. The porcelain figurine appears intact with no visible chips or cracks.
