A collection of Carling brewery promotional and vintage fishing-related items. The primary piece is a Rattlin' Rapala fishing lure featuring a metallic blue and silver scale-patterned body. The Carling logo is printed on both sides within a black rectangular border. The lure is housed in its original clear plastic and cardboard packaging labeled Rapala Limited Edition and Rattlin' Rapala. Accompanying the lure is a cast metal sinker or weight in the form of a fish with a black painted finish and integrated wire loop. Also included is a hand-carved wooden spile or cask vent peg with a tapered square head and attached twine, and a solid wooden spherical float featuring a metal socket at the top with a coiled length of rope. Measured against a ruler: Rapala box length approx. 3.25 inches. Condition: The promotional lure appears to be in new old stock condition within the original box; the box shows light scuffing and minor edge wear. The fish-shaped weight displays surface pitting and minor paint loss. The wooden spile and spherical float show surface wear, age-related discoloration, and patina consistent with use and age.
