A large fabricated metal sailboat sculpture of welded and soldered construction. The work features two principal sails made from sheet metal with a distinctive ground texture designed to catch and reflect light. The hull is formed from sheet metal with a repeating hammered or stamped pattern to the exterior and a blackened interior. Rigging is represented by twisted wire cable. The entire piece is elevated on two vertical supports and mounted to a textured rectangular metal base. The design exhibits influences of mid-20th-century Brutalist and industrial art styles. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Height approx. 84 cm; Length approx. 69 cm. Condition: The sculpture is in good overall condition. There is minor surface oxidation and light wear consistent with age, particularly evident on the base.
