A framed print depicting a picturesque garden cottage scene in the American School style. The composition features a gabled house with a decorative porch and an American flag, set within a garden of pink and white blossoms with a white picket fence and a brick path. The image is rendered in a romanticised watercolour manner with delicate pastel tones. It is professionally presented with a double mount in sage green and dark blue, housed within a decorative gilt frame featuring a foliate scroll pattern. The verso is sealed with brown paper and bears the handwritten reference number 28063. Dimensions (measured against a tape measure, inches only shown): approx. H 17.5 in x W 21.5 in (frame size). Condition: The print is in good overall condition with no apparent fading or moisture damage. The glazing is intact. The decorative gilt frame shows some light superficial wear and minor scuffing to the finish. The backing paper is torn in several places, notably at the top left and right edges.
