This pre-WWII German Navy (Reichsmarine / early Kriegsmarine) enlisted sailor's cap (Tellermütze) features a dark navy blue wool top over a black woven cap tally (Mützenband) woven in metallic gold gilt thread reading KREUZER BERLIN. The interior is lined in dark blue cotton twill, retaining a partially visible maker/quality stamp that reads "Diese Marke bürgt für Qualität" (This brand guarantees quality). The cap is in heavily worn, poor-to-fair vintage condition; the interior leather sweatband is detached, fragile, and torn, the interior fabric exhibits heavy water/sweat staining, and the exterior blue wool crown shows multiple moth holes, surface wear, and a small puncture hole near the front peak where the cockade was previously mounted.
