Two East German National People’s Army (NVA) visor caps, both marked with size 55 and the numerical code 1856 Y on stamped liners. The caps feature dark gray wool crown and band construction, with black plastic visors and white piping along the edge and crown, typical of NVA service headgear. Each cap shows ventilation eyelets on the front band. Both visors display visible cracks and structural breaks. The interior liners include faux leather sweatbands and printed NVA insignia within a diamond panel. These caps reflect the standardized service uniform of the NVA, used by enlisted personnel and non-commissioned officers, and were integral to East German military dress during the Cold War era.
