Two standard issue post-war (1945-1950) East German Grenztruppen visor caps, manufactured for the Border Guard branches. Each cap is constructed of blue fabric with green piping and green chincords, signifying assignment to the Grenztruppen. The front displays the distinctive DDR state emblem cockade above a silver wreath. Both caps feature authentic NVA depot markings inside, including size 56 and the code 1856 D. The construction follows standard procedures used in DDR manufacturing, with black plastic visors and internally finished sweatbands. No issues are noted, and both items remain in excellent condition with clear depot marking visibility. These were distributed as common surplus following the dissolution of the DDR. GE
