This item is a post-war or assembled ski/field cap constructed from dark grey-black cotton-wool blend twill fabric. The cap features a fold-down side flap held at the front by a cloth chinstrap secured with a silver-tone metal buckle. Mounted on the front crown above the buckle is an enamel Hitler Youth (Hitlerjugend / HJ) diamond membership pin featuring red and white translucent enamel quarters around a central black swastika. Attached to the left side flap is a grey plastic/composition Edelweiss flower badge with a yellow center. The interior is lined with plain dark blue cotton twill and lacks any maker marks, RZM tags, or size stamps. The exterior fabric exhibits light surface lint, age fading, and dust, while the interior lining shows minor edge discoloration from handling. PM
