This item is an original WWII U.S. Army Air Forces (AAF) Enlisted Garrison Cap constructed from summer-weight tan cotton twill fabric. Features include authentic ultramarine blue and golden-orange braided piping along the side curtain folds representing the Army Air Forces branch. The top seam of the crown exhibits altered and non-standard restitching/tailoring modification along its length. The interior features an unlined self-fabric design with a Period soldier's laundry/service stamp (B 27 80) hidden inside and visible under ultraviolet light. The cap shows handling creases and mild age fading with no added rank or unit badges. PM
