This item is a WWII German M43 style field cap (Einheitsfeldmütze) constructed from field-grey wool blend material. Key construction elements include a two-button front fold-down flap with pebbled metal buttons and a hand-sewn, machine-woven triangular BeVo-style insignia featuring the national eagle positioned above the cockade. The interior features a grey cotton twill lining with a single ink size stamp 56. The exterior wool exhibits light handling wear, surface linting, and distinct moth damage along the top brim of the visor and lower side flap edges, while the interior lining remains clean without significant staining.
