This Cold War-era East German People's Navy visor cap is constructed with a navy blue wool crown and black ribbed cap band. This cap features a gilded metal East German NVA oak-leaf cockade with the hammer and compass state emblem. Additional features include a synthetic black chinstrap secured by gold-tone side buttons and a patent black visor brim measuring 27 cm wide. The interior retains a brown faux-leather sweatband and a diamond-shaped plastic sweat shield stamped "NVA 56", maker code "1856", and East German year code "P" (1986). Condition is excellent with minimal sign of wear and no visible moth damage. BP
