A collection of decorative porcelain collector plates featuring illustrations of children. The group comprises plates from two distinct series. The first series features designs by Sandra Kuck for Reco International Corp, including plates from the Hearts and Flowers collection. These plates feature multi-colour transfer-printed illustrations of children in detailed garden and interior settings, accompanied by animals such as cats, dogs, and rabbits, or engaged in activities like reading and having tea. The reverse of one plate from this series bears the backstamp Reco INTERNATIONAL CORP © 1992, titled Storybook Memories, identified as the Fifth issue in the Hearts and Flowers from Sandra Kuck collection, with Plate No. 4369SM and Bradex No. 84-R60-32.5. The backstamp notes these are art objects and not for food use due to the potential toxicity of pigments used for colour fidelity. The second series consists of plates featuring the work of Jan Hagara, characterised by cream-coloured borders decorated with blue floral and lace-like transfer motifs, surrounding central portraits of children with classic toys, including dolls and a teddy bear. All plates in the collection feature gilded rims. Diameter approx. 21.5 cm. Condition: The plates appear to be in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant wear to the gilded rims or transfer designs.
