A set of Noritake miniature porcelain tea and breakfast ware from the Art Deco period, circa 1920s. The pieces are decorated with an iridescent blue lustre glaze to the exterior surfaces and a contrasting orange lustre glaze to the interiors. The handles and rims are accented with black enamel and gilt highlights. Marked to the base with the reddish-brown Noritake backstamp featuring a wreath enclosing a capital M, above the text Hand Painted and Made in Japan. The service consists of one teapot with lid, one twin-handled sugar bowl, one cream jug, three pedestal egg cups, one saucer, and one small decorative basket with a fixed overhead handle. Dimensions: Egg cup height approx. 7.5 cm, basket height approx. 5.5 cm (read from a visible tape measure). Condition: The service is in good overall condition. The lustre glaze remains bright and retains its iridescent quality. There is minor rubbing and wear to the black enamel accents on the handles, consistent with age and use. No chips, cracks, or repairs are apparent.
