A rustic wall-hanging box constructed from dark-stained wood, designed in the vernacular style of a country salt or candle box. The piece features a tall, shaped tombstone backplate with a central circular aperture for mounting. The rectangular storage section is assembled with simple nailed construction and features rounded top edges on the side supports. The wood displays an aged patina with a dark brown finish throughout. Height approx 30 cm (approx 11.75 inches, measured against a ruler). Condition: The item exhibits signs of age and functional use, including surface scuffs, scratches, and a well-handled patina. There are small holes consistent with historical woodworm, which appears inactive. The artificial foliage is a modern decorative addition.
