Miniature Framed Plaque Gilt Brass 3-Inch. Dating to the late 19th century (c. 1880s–1900), this exquisite French Limoges vitreous enamel portrait plaque is mounted in its original 3.0-by-3.0-inch gilt brass table frame with a green ribbed silkmat border and a functional easel back stamped "FRANCE" and "DELAME / NEW YORK". Measuring approximately 1.0 inch in diameter, the circular hand-painted enamel-on-copper plaque showcases a finely rendered profile portrait of a classical woman set against a rich cobalt blue ground with shimmering paillonné gold foil accents. Highly prized by collectors for their luminous color retention and delicate artistry, this unsigned Limoges miniature presents in good antique condition, with the portrait plaque remaining fully intact with vibrant glaze and luster, while the surrounding gilt brass frame and silk backing exhibit expected age toning, fabric fraying, light surface wear, and natural tarnish.
