Die Game Top 1.25-Inch. Dating to the early 20th century (c. 1910s–1920s), this authentic solid cast brass "Put & Take" teetotum spinning top is an unsigned American or European novelty piece measuring approximately 1.25 inches long by 0.65 inches wide. Popularized as a portable parlor and tavern game of chance during the Prohibition era, the hexagonal body features crisp, die-stamped instructions on each flat facet, including "PUT ONE", "PUT TWO", "TAKE ONE", "TAKE TWO", and "TAKE ALL". Coveted by collectors of antique toys, tobacciana, and gambling memorabilia, this piece remains fully functional with its central stem and bottom spinning point intact, presenting in good antique condition with a rich age patina, light surface tarnish, minor edge wear, and small spots of verdigris.
