Patch Pin Insignia Lot 9 Pc. This historic World War II to WWI military insignia grouping features a WWII US Army Air Forces 78th Fighter Group embroidered Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI) cloth patch along with its matching enamel crest DUI pin, a WWII US Army Forces in the Far East (USAFFE) enamel DUI pin, a Sergeant chevron rank pin, a World War I A.E.F. (American Expeditionary Forces) enamel lapel pin, a US Navy League enamel pin, an Army Corps of Engineers castle collar insignia, a WWII US enlistment star pin, a ribbon bar device pin, and a brass "US" collar cut-out insignia. Spanning the 1910s through the 1940s, these mixed brass, enamel, and embroidered cloth pieces offer high-value appeal for military insignia collectors, aviation historians, and homefront archivists. Unmarked by individual manufacturers as typical for mixed government-issue and private-purchase insignia, the large cloth patch measures approximately 4.5" x 2.25", while the metal pins and insignia range from 0.5" to 1.5" in width. The collection shows expected age and service wear including light fraying along the embroidered patch border, minor surface scratches, oxidation, finish rubbing, and tarnish to the brass elements, though enamel remains vibrant overall and pin attachments are intact; no major structural defects observed.
