Mother Son In Service Lapel Pin. This historic World War II era homefront service pin features a three-star Son/Family in Service design executed in vibrant guilloché-style translucent red enamel border surrounding three blue stars set against an opaque white background. Traditionally worn by mothers and family members to honor three loved ones serving active duty during WWII, this lapel badge offers significant military homefront collector interest. Crafted in sterling silver (vermeil gold wash remaining on reverse) with a pinback mechanism and safety clasp, the pin is clearly stamped "STERLING" on the reverse bar, with no additional maker's mark noted. The piece measures approximately 0.875" x 0.375". In good vintage condition; displays light enamel surface wear, minor loss to blue enamel on the far-right star, significant warm aged patina, and light tarnish to the silver setting. See photos for close-up details.
