Liquor Permit Ephemera Lot 1943-45. This historically significant 7-piece archive of original World War II civilian homefront and naval station ephemera belonged to Louis Alphonse Lallemand, a worker stationed at "Navy Yard Pearl Harbor No. 2" in Honolulu, Hawaii. The archive includes a rare 1943 "Office of Director of Liquor Control Purchase Permit" issued in Honolulu under the Hawaii Defense Act, a 1945 "Garden Club U.S. Navy Civilian Housing Area 3 Monthly Pass," a Civilian Housing Area 3 Fishing Pass, a U.S. Navy Department Mare Island Navy Yard bus trip ticket book, Selective Service draft classification notices dated 1943–1944, and related naval transit cards. Issued by U.S. Navy Department and Territory of Hawaii authorities, c. 1943–1945, printed paper and cardstock documents with official stamps, manuscript ink signatures, and date cancellations, sizes range from small ticket books (approx. 2 x 3.5 inches) to liquor permits (approx. 4 x 5 inches). Displays expected signs of age including uniform paper toning, light edge creasing, minor corner softening, and punch marks on pass cards, though all manuscript entries and official stamps remain fully legible; no major tears, heavy staining, or missing text sections observed. See photos for close-up details.
