Propeller Wings Insignia Lot 10 Pc. This historic World War II to WWI military insignia grouping features a WWII US Army Air Forces 78th Fighter Group embroidered Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI) cloth patch, a sterling or base metal Army Air Forces propeller-and-wings insignia pin, a brass "78" numeral pin, an American Red Cross Volunteer enamel lapel pin, two WWI A.E.F. enamel pins, a US Navy League enamel pin, a detailed brass field artillery cannon pin, and three US Great Seal/military uniform buttons including a screw-back pair. Spanning the 1910s through the 1940s, these mixed brass, bronze, enamel, and embroidered cloth pieces hold significant cross-collector appeal for aviation archivists, military insignia enthusiasts, and homefront collectors. Unmarked by individual manufacturers as typical for mixed government-issue and civilian pins, the large cloth patch measures approximately 4.5" x 2.25", while the individual pins and buttons range from 0.5" to 1.75" in width.
