AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Measuring 50" square, this is a substantial handmade crochet tablecloth in an off-white, tan-beige tone, weighing 1-1/4 lbs. The design features a dense repeating circular medallion pattern across the central field, framed by broad decorative crochet bands and finished with a scalloped border around the perimeter. Clearly a handworked textile with considerable weight, texture and craftsmanship, especially well suited for a square dining, accent or occasional table. Heavy crochet table linens such as this were popular decorative household textiles during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when intricate handwork was used to create substantial table coverings for formal and everyday interiors. Repeating medallions, geometric openwork and scalloped borders were common elements in period crochet patterns, combining visual ornament with durable construction. The substantial weight, dense crochet work and warm off-white coloration give this example strong traditional, cottagecore and heirloom textile appeal. CONDITION REPORT > Stored safely. This textile has not been recently laundered but has no overt odor. Perhaps typical and minor elements relative to age, minimal use and materials.
