AVAILABLE FOR SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Decorative Gail Pittman group consisting of a signed round tin measuring 8" in diameter x 3" deep together with two signed ceramic mugs, each featuring Pittman’s bold hand-painted Southern decorative style. One mug is decorated in the Splendor pattern, with large dark blue grape clusters and green foliage against a light ground. This example is signed and dated 1994. Splendor is a documented Gail Pittman pattern and is now discontinued, with pieces from the collection identified as made in the U.S.A. The second mug carries a Christmas motif with wreaths, red bows, greenery and ribbon decoration, and is signed and dated ’05. Gail Pittman pottery was known for hand-painted and hand-signed production, with pieces double fired and glazed for durability. The coordinating round tin features a colorful floral and fruit design with a large central arrangement of fruit, foliage and blue floral accents against a yellow and pale blue patterned ground, signed within the design. Together, the group offers strong decorative appeal for collectors of Gail Pittman pottery, Splendor pattern, signed Southern pottery, Christmas ceramics and decorative tins. CONDITION REPORT > Crazing noted to the interior of the Splendor pattern mug.
