AVAILABLE FOR SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Pair of vintage Walt Disney Little Golden Books, each measuring 6.5" wide x 8" tall, retaining the familiar illustrated hardboard covers and patterned gold-tone spines. 1 > Walt Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Little Golden Book D66, with 29¢ printed cover price. Originally published as a Little Golden Book in 1948, this D66 issue belongs to the 1962-1967 printing period, when the series cover price increased from 25¢ to 29¢. Adapted from the Grimm fairy tale with illustrations by the Walt Disney Studio, the cover depicts Snow White surrounded by the Seven Dwarfs. 2 > Walt Disney’s Donald Duck’s Toy Train, Little Golden Book D18, with 39¢ printed cover price, placing this copy within the 1968-1973 printing period. Originally published in 1950, the story was told by Jane Werner with artwork adapted by Dick Kelsey and Bill Justice from the Walt Disney Studio. The colorful cover features Donald Duck operating his miniature train with Chip and Dale nearby. Little Golden Books debuted in 1942 as inexpensive, brightly illustrated books intended to make quality children’s literature widely accessible. Disney titles quickly became an important part of the series, with many popular stories remaining in print through numerous generations. The printed cover prices provide particularly useful dating clues: Little Golden Books rose to 29¢ in 1962 and 39¢ in 1968, placing these two examples squarely within the vintage 1960s and early 1970s era. CONDITION REPORT > As discovered, not cleaned or altered. Expect typical and minor elements relative to age, handling and materials.
