Large and impressive hand-blown art glass vase in a warm champagne-to-pale amber coloration. The tall flaring body is formed with pronounced vertical ribs rising into an exuberant, deeply folded and ruffled free-form rim, creating a flower-like silhouette. Substantial hand-worked glass construction with attractive variations in thickness and tone throughout. The underside exhibits a ground and finished pontil area consistent with hand-blown manufacture. Dimensions: 11 inches high x approximately 11.5 inches diameter. A striking decorative example with considerable scale, the vase displays beautifully from all directions and has the sculptural quality associated with mid-20th-century Italian and European art glass. Unmarked; maker unknown. Condition: Overall good vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age and use. Minor manufacturing irregularities and variations inherent to hand-blown glass. No obvious major chips or cracks observed in the photographs. Auction house considers photographs to be part of the condition report.
