Chinese Carved Hardstone, Glass & Jade-Style Pendant Collection. Age: Predominantly 20th century, probably mid-to-late 20th century, with some possibly later. The group appears to include a mixture of materials. Some pieces may indeed be jade, jadeite, serpentine or other hardstone, while others look more consistent with molded or carved glass. The very uniform bright-green/translucent coloration of several pieces makes this auction house reluctant to identify them as natural jadeite without testing. The large dark green circular disc at upper right is a bi-disc form. Several of the other circular plaques use archaistic dragon or scrolling motifs, while the figural pieces depict Buddha/Budai and traditional auspicious subjects. Size: Approximately 1½ to 3 inches each based on the tape measure shown. Condition: Overall good decorative condition with surface wear, scratches, minor abrasions and possible small edge nicks consistent with age and use. Some retain cords, bails and attachments.
