Signed AZK '71 Dichroic Vortex Art Glass Paperweight Sphere. 2.5 inches diameter. Striking studio art glass paperweight sphere featuring a dramatic black ground encircled by flowing ribbons of iridescent blue, lavender, and opalescent white glass. The interior reveals a captivating dichroic vortex design composed of shimmering metallic pink, gold, green, and turquoise inclusions spiraling toward a central pale blue accent, creating a mesmerizing cosmic effect when viewed from different angles. The highly polished spherical form displays exceptional depth and optical complexity, characteristic of late 20th-century American studio art glass. The underside is engraved and dated "AZK 71," likely indicating the artist's signature and year of production.
