Hornady 30-30 Winchester 2 Die Set 546342

A Hornady Custom Grade New Dimension two die full length set for 30-30 Winchester, item number 546342, Series I, calling for shell holder number 2. The red box holds the full length sizing die with the Hornady Zip Spindle decapping assembly, the bullet seating die, the red plastic thread protectors and the printed instruction booklet with an Allen wrench. The Zip Spindle is the feature that sets these dies apart. The decapping rod clamps in a collet instead of threading in, so it can be centered and locked by hand in seconds, and the elliptical expander is shaped to open the neck with less drag and less case stretch than a plain ball. On a 30-30 that runs through a lever action tube magazine the seating die also rolls a solid crimp into the cannelure so bullets stay put under recoil. Condition is excellent. The steel is bright with no rust, the threads are clean and the box and booklet show only light shelf wear. Estimated Value: $30 to $45 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is.
