Redding 6.5mm-06 Seating Die 92378 Series C

Updated September 23, 2026

A Redding Series C seating die for the 6.5mm-06 wildcat, part number 92378, in the original Redding box. The die body is stamped REDDING 6.5-06 and the box end reads SEAT DIE SERIES C 6.5MM 06. The lot also holds a micrometer style seating adjustment body graduated in numbered increments and two small threaded stems. Redding built Series C dies to order for wildcats and odd chamberings that the big makers never tooled up for, and the 6.5mm-06 is exactly that kind of round, a 30-06 case necked down to 264 caliber for flat shooting long range work. A micrometer seater lets a handloader dial seating depth in repeatable clicks and return to a proven setting later, which is the reason target shooters pay up for them. Condition is very good. The steel is bright with light handling marks and clean threads, the micrometer turns freely through its range and the threads on every piece are clean with no rust or pitting. The Redding box is intact with shelf wear and a soiled, readable label. Estimated Value: $40 to $75 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
