RCBS 45 Colt Carbide 3 Die Set 19112

An RCBS carbide three die set for 45 Colt, part number 19112, Group B, in the gray RCBS box that calls for shell holder number 20. Four die bodies are present. There is a carbide sizing die stamped 45 COLT, an expanding die, a seating die stamped COLT SEAT and a fourth die fitted with a toothed lock ring and a knurled adjustment stack. A spare decapping rod and an expander plug are loose in the tray. The carbide ring in the sizer is why this set is worth owning. Tungsten carbide is so hard and so slick that straight wall pistol brass sizes with no case lube, which removes a messy step and lets a loader run big batches of 45 Colt without stopping to wipe cases. The seating die also carries a roll crimp shoulder, which a 45 Colt needs so heavy bullets stay put under recoil in a big single action cylinder. Condition is good. The dies are bright with light handling marks and clean threads with no rust. The gray box is soiled with rubbed lettering and a torn corner and the printed label is readable.
