Lee 243 Winchester Collet 2 Die Set 90709

A Lee collet die set for the 243 Winchester, item 90709, in the amber Lee storage box. The set is two dies, being the Lee Collet neck sizing die and the dead length bullet seating die, together with the shell holder, a yellow plastic accessory and the printed instruction sheet. A collet die sizes only the neck, and it does it by closing four steel fingers around a hardened mandrel so the neck is squeezed from the outside in. Nothing is pulled through the neck, so no case lube is needed and there is no cleanup step. The case body and shoulder are left exactly as your chamber formed them, so brass stops stretching, trimming drops off and case life goes way up. Necks come out straight with very little runout. That is what a 243 Winchester wants, because it is a cartridge people build accuracy loads for. Dies are clean with light surface oil and normal handling marks, threads and lock rings are intact and no rust or galling is visible in the photos. Condition is very good.
