An assortment of volumes across religious, masonic, and literary subjects. The collection features a mid-19th-century edition of The Life of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by the Rev. John Fleetwood, published in Boston by Phillips, Sampson, & Co. in 1850. The work is bound in heavily embossed dark brown cloth, featuring a gilt-stamped bust of Christ on the upper board and decorative gilt titles and motifs on the spine. The title page indicates the inclusion of the lives of the apostles and primitive martyrs, embellished with engravings. The group includes several copies of The Book of Constitution of The Grand Lodge of Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons of Canada in the Province of Ontario, bound in blue textured cloth with gilt-stamped titles. A 1946 edition contains a printed signature of the Grand Secretary, R. G. Dixon. Also present are an edition of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam bound in spider-web patterned paper boards with a green cloth spine; a small blue cloth edition of The Gates Ajar published by Routledge with pictorial gilt and black stamping; The Manhood of the Master by Harry Emerson Fosdick in maroon cloth; and a volume of the Life of Luther bound in marbled paper boards with a dark cloth spine. Dimensions: Largest volume approx H 23 cm. Condition: The Fleetwood volume shows heavy foxing throughout the text block, significant tanning, and wear to the binding including fraying and loss at the spine head and tail. General edge wear, bumping to corners, and rubbing to boards are present across the other volumes. The Life of Luther exhibits rubbing and surface wear to the marbled paper. Internal pages show varying degrees of age-related toning.
