Decorative oil on canvas landscape depicting a quiet rural river scene centered around an old watermill with a large wooden waterwheel, surrounded by trees, grassy banks, and a small collection of village buildings extending across the opposite shoreline. The composition is rendered in warm earth tones with soft autumnal foliage, reddish-brown water, and a subdued clouded sky, while the mill architecture and reflections across the river create a picturesque pastoral character. The painting is unsigned and presented in a simple black wood frame with a narrow gilt inner edge. The frame shows noticeable scuffs, scratches, abrasions, and scattered chips and finish losses, particularly along the edges and corners, consistent with age and handling. Sight measures 20.5" x 16". Frame measures 25" x 20.25".
