Vibrant oil on canvas coastal landscape signed Richardo at the lower right, depicting what appears to be an Italian Mediterranean hillside town overlooking a brilliant blue bay and open sea. The composition is densely arranged with sunlit stucco buildings cascading down the steep hillside, terracotta and pale rooftops, lush green vegetation, and a prominent domed church rising near the shoreline, while a mountainous headland curves into the distance beneath a bright sky filled with soft white clouds. Richardo works with energetic, textured brushwork and areas of impasto throughout the architecture, foliage, hillside, water, and sky, creating a lively surface and strong sense of depth. Warm creams, ochres, reds, and greens contrast dramatically against the saturated blue water, giving the painting a bright Mediterranean atmosphere. Presented in a decorative metallic-toned molded frame. The frame has scuffs, scratches, areas of separation at the corners and joints, and other wear from handling; the canvas also does not fit the frame properly and sits somewhat loosely within it. Sight measures 36.5" x 24.75". Frame measures 40.75" x 28.75".
