Matched pair of early 20th-century Arts & Crafts silver-tone brooches in the wirework-and-cabochon idiom. Each frame is an oval openwork silver plate w/ twisted rope-wire bezel courses, applied silver bead terminals, C-scroll edges, and an asymmetric double-scroll spiral at one shoulder, holding a large marquise cabochon in a serrated bezel. One: Cabochon of red/brown brecciated jasper (per visual ID), mottled brick-red field w/ tan matrix veining. Two: Cabochon of banded agate or petrified wood (per visual ID), dark near-black body w/ horizontal cream and reddish inclusion band at one end. Style and construction are consistent w/ Continental European or Mexican Arts & Crafts silverwork c.1900-1930, later reproduced in similar form by mid-century workshops. Each brooch measures 1.95 in. length x 1.01 in. width. Weight: red jasper 8g; dark agate 7g. Both fitted w/ hinged C-clasp pin stems on the reverse. No fineness or maker’s marks located on either reverse in the provided images; metal color and construction appear consistent w/ silver but not verified — buyer to test. Both show light polish wear, tarnish in the recesses of the wirework, and expected surface patina; cabochons appear intact w/ no visible chips or cracks; hinges and pin stems function.
