Vintage Yale & Towne railroad signal padlock marked "A.G.S.R.R." on the shackle for the Alabama Great Southern Railroad. Front of the lock is stamped "SIGNAL," and the reverse carries the Yale & Towne maker marking. Includes working key and attached chain. Measures approximately 3.5 inches high x 2.25 inches wide. Tested and working properly with the included key. Shows surface wear, scratches, oxidation and patina consistent with age and railroad use. Early to mid-20th century railroad era. A desirable piece of Alabama Great Southern Railroad signal department hardware with its key and chain still present.
