Vintage 1923 E. Howard Watch Co. (Keystone) Series 7 model 1912 mechanical open-face pocket watch featuring a 12-size 14K white gold-filled case. The interior caseback displays a polished finish stamped with the signature "E. HOWARD WATCH CO. BOSTON" track ring, alongside the "KEYSTONE EXTRA" scale hallmark logo, case serial number 1589080, and hand-etched watchmaker service logs. The outer case highlights a highly detailed, repeating Art Deco geometric step pattern along the sidewall bezel frame, paired with an intricate geometric corner-monogram engraving on the reverse lid. The original cream-toned metal dial showcases a distinctive vertically-ribbed tuxedo sunburst texture, an outer track ring, bold stylized black Arabic numeric hour indicators, an independent sub-seconds register above the 6 o'clock mark, and blued steel cathedral-style hands with a crisp upper brand signature reading "HOWARD". The watch is powered by a high-grade American-made mechanical manual-wind movement carrying movement serial number 1392782, a native 17 jewels layout in burnished settings, a nickel bridge-plate layout finish, a patent date stamp reading "PAT.'D.'12", a micrometric regulator assembly, a Breguet hairspring, a Double Roller assembly, and explicit plate engravings certifying it is adjusted to temperature and 3 positions. This mechanical pocket watch is running as of the time of listing, though a professional service is required for accurate timekeeping, and extended runtime without service is not guaranteed.
