Carved Double Tea Caddy with Eagle and Equestrian Figure Finial Unusual architectural double tea caddy in carved and stained hardwood. late 19th century. The front is carved with a displayed eagle framed by columns and geometric ornament. A removable upper superstructure is surmounted by a standing figure beside a horse with a winged motif behind. Two covered, metal-lined tea compartments are fitted beneath. Condition: Substantial scratches, abrasions, finish loss, open joints, and shrinkage cracks. Scattered chips and losses; four small corner finials appear missing. Metal linings are heavily oxidized, torn, and detached. Old repairs and possible replacement elements; key absent and lock untested.
