3 John Zink Tulsa Cast Iron Valve Keys

Three cast metal valve keys, also called gas cock or curb keys, joined on a bent wire ring. Each has a T-shaped head over a shaft ending in a socket that fits a square valve stem, and the heads are cast in relief John Zink on one face and Tulsa Okla. on the reverse. John Zink Company of Tulsa, Oklahoma has built industrial burners, flares and combustion equipment since 1929, and branded field tools like these turn up regularly in Oklahoma oil patch and petroliana collections. The keys run roughly 5 to 5 and one half inches long. Condition is fair to good: two are heavily oxidized with a dark rust patina, one retains most of its gray paint, and all three sockets are intact and unsplit. The original consignor listing described two keys; the photos show three on the ring. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
