Winchester Model 94 "Bicentennial '76" Commemorative, .30-30 Win Item: Winchester Model 94 "Bicentennial '76" Commemorative Caliber: .30-30 Winchester Manufacturer: Winchester Repeating Arms Co., New Haven, CT Finish: Engraved brushed pewter receiver with inlaid stock medallion, blued barrel and magazine tube; checkered walnut stock and forearm Condition: Excellent, minimal handling wear, crisp engraving Handsome Winchester Model 94 "Bicentennial '76" commemorative lever-action rifle, chambered in .30-30 Winchester and issued to mark America's 200th birthday. The barrel is stamped "WINCHESTER MODEL 94, 30-30 WIN., MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A., WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL," with "Bicentennial 1776-1976" engraved in script along the barrel top and "MODEL 1894 WINCHESTER" stamped on the tang. Serial number with the "USA" prefix identifying it as part of this specific Bicentennial commemorative run. The brushed pewter-finished receiver is engraved with a patriotic motif — a spread-winged eagle on the left side and a "76" framed by thirteen stars on the right — bordered in a clean scroll pattern. A pewter-toned medallion is inlaid in the walnut buttstock depicting a Pony Express rider beneath the inscription "Winchester Salutes the United States Bicentennial, 1776-1976," a fitting centerpiece for the display case. The stock and forearm are cut from attractively figured walnut with fine diamond-point checkering, and the rifle features a large lever loop and saddle ring, deep blued barrel and magazine tube, showing excellent, well-kept condition with crisp engraving throughout. A great piece of Americana for Winchester collectors — a genuine limited commemorative combining the iconic Model 94 action with dedicated Bicentennial artwork and a serial number to match.
