The barrel is stamped "WINCHESTER — MODEL 94, 30-30 WIN., MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A., WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL," with "Limited Edition II by Winchester" engraved in gold script along the barrel top and "MODEL 1894 WINCHESTER" stamped on the tang. The fully gold-plated receiver is richly engraved with wildlife scenes on both sides — a wolf pair on the move through timber on one panel and a whitetail buck, doe, and fawn in a forest clearing on the other — all set within dense scroll and foliate borders. The gold plating extends to the lever and trigger, striking against the deep blued barrel and magazine tube. The stock and forearm are cut from exceptionally figured, curly walnut with fine diamond-point checkering and a high-gloss finish. The rifle presents in outstanding, seemingly unfired condition throughout, with crisp engraving and a glossy, unmarred stock. A true showpiece for the display case — few Winchester commemoratives combine this level of gold plating, two-sided wildlife engraving, and exhibition-grade wood in one rifle.
