Chambered in .30-40 (the original 1895's historic military and safari cartridge), the barrel is stamped "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY, MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. — MADE IN JAPAN" and "BROWNING 1895 CALIBER .30-40," while the tang faithfully retains the traditional "MODEL 95 — WINCHESTER" heritage markings of the original design. The receiver is engraved "1895 Browning — One of One Thousand" with serial number identifying this rifle as piece 320 of the 1,000-gun run. The satin-finished receiver is dressed with fine scroll engraving and a striking gold-inlaid mountain lion prowling a mountain and pine-tree backdrop, set against deep, glossy blued barrel and magazine tube. A large lever loop, semi-buckhorn adjustable rear sight, and blade front sight are fitted, along with a Lyman-style tang peep sight for precision use. The checkered walnut stock and schnabel-tip forend show excellent, crisp condition with no notable wear, consistent with a rifle that has spent its life in a collection rather than the field. A standout numbered commemorative for Winchester/Browning collectors — fine engraving, real gold inlay, and a documented limited production run combine to make this a strong centerpiece for any lever-action collection.
