Two privately made art rounds, each marked on the reverse ONE AV OUNCE .999 FINE COPPER. The metal the pieces state is copper, not silver, so there is no silver story here. The obverse shows a winged dragon breathing fire down a city street past storefronts reading BEST BURGERS and HELP WANTED, with the legend HAPPY LABORLESS DAY. The reverse carries scrollwork, the arc PAYING DEBTS WITH THE PRINTING PRESS, the words INFLATION IS COMING, and the date 2021. Both rounds are brilliant and prooflike with strong red orange color and no wear. One shows a light haze and faint carbon flecks; the other a small dark speck. No green corrosion is visible, though copper always spots in time. No maker name appears, and the consignor labeled both holders FANTASY DRAGON. Private mints strike parody rounds like these in copper because copper is cheap, which lets the artwork rather than the metal carry the piece. They are fun and they are cheap, and there is nothing wrong with buying them that way. Estimated Value: $3 to $6. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
