Bronze Medals (3) Eisenhower Lincoln Truman

Three United States Mint bronze medals, each sealed in a plain clear factory packet. The first is the Eisenhower inaugural medal, bust left, reverse figure of Liberty on a FREEDOM pedestal dated January 20, 1953. The second is a Lincoln presidential medal, the reverse wreath recording both inaugurations and the assassination in 1865. The third is not a presidential or inaugural medal at all: it is a Harry S Truman National Historic Site centennial medal dated 1884-1984, with the Truman home at Independence, Missouri on the reverse. All three are bright red-orange bronze with no wear. The Eisenhower and Lincoln pieces show fine hairlines, but the plastic over them is wrinkled and scuffed and the photographs cannot separate marks on the metal from marks on the wrap. The packet edges are never shown, so unbroken seals cannot be confirmed. US Mint bronze medals carry no metal value at all, so what a bidder buys is pure collector demand, which is why packaging and surfaces matter so much. Estimated Value: $30 to $70. Sold as-is.
