Lincoln Wheat Cent Rolls (4) Labeled 1953-D

Paper-wrapped rolls of Lincoln wheat cents in a clear zip-top bag. The wheat reverse is confirmed, with two wheat stalks flanking ONE CENT, and the end coins that show are bright red-orange with full mint bloom and sharp detail. Only one date is legible in the lot, a single end coin reading 1953. Not one mint mark is visible anywhere in these photographs. The D comes from a green fluorescent sticker hand-written 1953-D BU-WHEAT, and no photograph supports it, so the mint mark is unverified. Four rolls can be positively counted with at least one more mass behind them, so the roll count and face value cannot be confirmed. These are not intact factory-crimped rolls: one wrapper is open with coins spilling, loose cents lie in the bag, and a large adhesive and lint patch is stuck across one wrapper. The contents of the rolls were never photographed and cannot be confirmed. Wheat cents ended in 1958 and 1953-D is a common date, so the interest here is bright original coins, not rarity.
