Two Series 1995 five dollar Federal Reserve Notes, both of the older small-size style with Lincoln on the face and the Lincoln Memorial on the back, both from the same district. Each carries the letter F and the legend Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Georgia, with the number 6 in all four corners. Serial numbers are F 40654232 F and F 50478918 E, and both are signed by Withrow and Rubin. The teaching point is that letter: twelve Federal Reserve Banks issue our currency, each identified by a letter and matching number, A through L. Collecting all twelve districts from one series is a cheap and satisfying set to build. Both notes are circulated. The first is moderately soiled with several folds, rounded corners and slight fraying at the bottom corners. The second is more worn, limp and wrinkled, with a hard vertical center fold, a bent upper right corner and a small crease tear at that fold. No tape, no writing, no missing paper. Estimated Value: $8 to $9. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors. Please review all photos before bidding.
